In this limited edition series of archival photographs some of palm beach's most storied locales are brought to life through Mele's wit and theatricality. Mele's dramatic use of bold color and composition allow us to daydream of another world, in cotton candy pinks and sky blues, that exists just behind the wrought iron gates.
As part of Mele's series Please Sign in All Guests, Nick collaborated with the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach to create a collection of exclusive fine art prints for the hotels 75th anniversary.The images, which feature a colorful cast of characters and animals enjoying a day at the famed hotel, are available in larger edition sizes and can be seen in the Kemble Interiors newly renovated rooms.
In this series, the intimate charms of a New England come poignantly to life through Mele's vivid yet surreal images. Newport, RI is the backdrop for his latest foray, where laziness meets respectability under the surreal landscapes of the deep summer. Viewers are welcomed to immerse themselves in a life beyond the hedgerow of Newport's storied mansions, filled with fabulous sunsets, opulent decor, and childlike innocence.
