For this playful and artistic collaboration, Nick Mele and painter Donald Robertson (aka Drawbertson) merged their two mediums to create a series of one-of-a-kind works. During the two day Palm Beach event, Robertson live-painted his signature flourishes directly onto Mele’s photographs - layering bold color, loose lines, and his unmistakable sense of humor onto Mele’s already whimsical imagery.
The collaboration was conceived as a joyful exchange between two distinct artistic voices—an exercise in spontaneity, visual dialogue, and shared creativity. The resulting works celebrate the moment when two artists meet on the same surface, producing unique pieces intended not only to showcase their combined practices but also to invite viewers to smile while witnessing the playful intersection of photography and painting.
